Hugs & Kisses

Here's a new one; may it be a sweet surprise! JayD

Hugs and Kisses

Chocolatetown Chip Cookies (Recipe circa 1934)

3/4 cup (1 sticks) butter, softened
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 cup packed light brown sugar
1 teaspoon baking soda
cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups (12-oz package) semi-sweet chocolate chips
2 eggs

Pre-heat oven to 375 degrees. In large mixer bowl, beat butter, brown
sugar, granulated sugar, and vanilla until light and fluffy. Add
eggs; beat well. Stir together flour, baking soda, and salt;
gradually add to butter mixture, beating until blended. Stir in
chocolate chips. Drop by teaspoons onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake
8 to 10 minutes or until lightly browned. Remove from cookie sheet to
wire rack. Cool completely.

Yield: About 7 dozen cookies. Treat them to the kids at The Lost
Children's Caboose. Facing the caboose, sit on the bench to your
left, and when the moment is good, slip around back and reach into a
nook behind the big wheels for your reward.

Oh, at first I thought from the title it might be a clue to a new box... :(

A little something I learned when I just started my career as a
chemist, and I tell my students when I was a TA:

"Always read the directions to the end prior to embarking on an
experiment..."

In this case, you should re-read Jay's cookie recipie... And you will
see...

Sorry Jeremy, my sarcasm was too well hidden I guess. :)
